On February 10, 2022, the first meeting of the year of the Working Group on recyclable packaging, operating within the Polish Plastic Pact, took place, with the participation of KGL S.A. representatives of KGL S.A.
Goal: 100% recyclable packaging
KGL S.A. joined the Polish Plastic Pact on September 10, 2020, and has been actively involved in the project since then. In early February this year, company representatives participated in a meeting of the Working Group on recyclable packaging, which supports the achievement of Goal No. 3 of the Pact: 100% of plastic packaging in the Polish market should be suitable for reuse or recycling.
– Following the methodology developed by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, within the Working Group's activities, we are preparing materials that will help the Polish market understand what recyclable packaging is – emphasizes Anita Frydrych, Director of the Plastic Technology Development and EU Funds Department at KGL S.A.
KGL applies eco-design principles
The Polish Plastic Pact is not the only organization that KGL S.A. has joined in recent years. Due to the types of plastic packaging it produces, the company is also a partner in such initiatives as Ceflex (The Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging) and RecyClass, which support the development of guidelines for eco-design to encompass the full spectrum of currently used flexible materials.
