The Research & Development Center of KGL provides conditions for preparation and then implementation of new production technologies in KGL Group. As part of the Center, the Group is capable of developing technology for packaging production (foil composition, moulding tools and thermoforming methods). The R&D Center operations improve competitiveness and upgrade the level of innovations of KGL Group by means of the know-how and new products.

Innovative products and solutions

Preparation and implementation of the innovative products and solutions (including the ones mentioned above) is done within the Research & Development Center. Currently, R&D Center is working on few moulding tools (moulds), which shall soon be exploited in the KGL plants for the production of new types of packaging.

At present, owing to the R&D Center operations, the company’s offer provides for a number of packaging of innovative specifics. These include mainly the multi-functional packaging that may be used in extreme temperatures (from - 40°C up to 200°C), of a reduced weight (less plastic used in production) and fully recyclable.
