POM

Polyoxymethylene, polyacetal

POM is available in two varieties: homopolymer and copolymer. The most important advantages of polyacetals are: high rigidity and good mechanical properties, very high resistance to abrasion and fatigue, high dimensional stability and shape stability even at high temperatures, high creep resistance, low friction coefficient, low water absorption, excellent electrical and dielectric properties, resistance to diluted bases and acids and most organic solvents, and the possibility of using in the temperature range -40 ° C to 110 ° C. It found application mainly in working elements such as gears, levers, bearings, guides, worms, pump impellers replacing light metals.

PC

Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is an amorphous, thermoplastic polymer with very good mechanical properties (especially impact strength) as well as high transparency. Due to its good thermal resistance, it can be used in the temperature range from -40 ° C to 135 ° C. It is resistant to water and acids, while it is susceptible to organic bases and solvents. In order to improve individual properties, polycarbonate can be modified with various additives. Polycarbonate is used for the production of: CDs, DVDs, panels used in construction, protective panels in machines and elements of technical devices, machines, blinds and lighting.

PMMA

Polymethyl methacrylate

PMMA is an amorphous polymer with high hardness and good mechanical and optical properties - approx. 92% light transmission. It has the highest scratch resistance among transparent polymers, as well as good resistance to atmospheric conditions, including UV radiation. It is resistant to inorganic substances, lyes, acids, salts and their derivatives. Examples of applications are: plate extrusion, production of lamp covers in the automotive industry as well as shades in home and city lighting, elements of machines and devices.

PMMA ALTUGLAS

PA

Polyamide

Polyamide has good mechanical properties, high stiffness, good temperature resistance, good abrasion resistance and low friction coefficient as well as good electrical insulation properties. In the dry state, polyamide is brittle, absorbs 2-3% moisture and then becomes elastic. In order to improve individual properties, polyamide can be modified with various additives. Most often it is filled with glass fiber to increase strength and stiffness. Examples of applications are: injection of technical and construction elements, film extrusion, elements for the construction and automotive industries.

ASA

Acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic terpolymer

ASA contains additives: antioxidants, lubricants, UV stabilizers, impact modifiers and coloring agents. Due to this, elements made of ASA are resistant to color change and aging during prolonged exposure to UV radiation. It is widely used in the automotive and electronics industries.

ASA STAREX

SAN

Styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer

SAN is characterized by good tensile and flexural strength, resistance to impact, creep, abrasion and high chemical resistance. Examples of applications are: household appliances, bathroom accessories, cosmetic packaging, pens.

SAN KIBISAN

ABS

Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer

ABS is an amorphous material characterized by: good stiffness, impact strength (also maintains it at low temperatures), gloss and ease of processing. In addition, ABS has low moisture absorption, high dimensional stability, resistance to stress cracks and temperature changes. It shows satisfactory resistance to alkali, dilute acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oils and fats, but it is not resistant to acids, esters and ketones. Examples of applications are: home appliances, furniture, electronics and electrical industries, as well as the automotive industry.

PC / ABS blend

The PC / ABS blend is an amorphous PC and ABS polymer alloy that combines the properties of both materials. PC / ABS blends are characterized by good hardness and impact strength, better thermal resistance than ABS, high dimensional accuracy, good creep resistance at static loads and good electrical insulation. PC / ABS blends are widely used in automotive, electrical engineering, lighting elements, household appliances.

Filled PP

Polypropylenes can be filled with chalk, talc, barium sulfate, modified with EPDM or reinforced with glass fiber. Depending on the needs, they help reduce production costs, improve thermal resistance and dimensional stability, reduce processing shrinkage or increase specific gravity. The composites obtained thanks to this are widely used in household products, electronics and the automotive industry.

PP TABOREN

PPS

Phenylene polysulphide

PPS is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with self-extinguishing properties, excellent chemical resistance, which at temperatures up to 200 ° C is not affected by any organic solvents. It dissolves in chlorosulfonic acid. It is characterized by very good stability to hydrolysis in contact with hot water or steam, as well as high resistance to oxidation. Very high thermal resistance allows short-term operation up to 280 ° C, and long-term operation up to 230 ° C.

These factors and very good dielectric properties predispose this material to the production of elements operating under high thermal and mechanical stress. These elements are used in the machinery and automotive industries (elements of air, exhaust, heating, fuel injection systems, pulleys, thermostat housings, pumps, valves, seals) electronics and electrotechnics (heating elements, sensor housings, elements of electric furnaces, relays, plug connections, contact rails, thermal insulators) and in the chemical industry (valve bodies, pump impellers).

PPS FITEX

PVDF

Polyvinylidene fluoride

PVDF is a fluorinated polymer with a high degree of crystallization, combining good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties with excellent chemical resistance. It is used in the petrochemical, chemical, food, paper, textile and nuclear industries.
